Embahn (Emily Steuer) is a solo-guitarist and singer-songwriter with a soft yet substantial voice. She uses a familiar as well as an experimental finger-picking style in many of her original songs.

Many of her songs transpire through her interpretation of both novel and mundane experiences, feelings, and thoughts. The immediacy of this is important to her - it’s like capturing something magical right in the moment. If you wait, the importance of the experience typically dissipates. You can hear this in her songs and feel it in her lyrics.

In her recordings, she layers multiple instruments and vocal harmonies to create ethereal folk songs and sounds. She only has a few songs out on the internet at the moment, but is working on a studio album this winter.
